You can hang them up on the walls, around posts, tree trunks, in branches or put them up in front of the house. Each of the 70-count LEDs are spaced 4 inches apart and the strand features 23 feet of lighted length. Additionally, they are connectable from end to end, so up to 40 strands can be used together to get the desired look.
